
| To qualify for the club's advanced Second Class Diver certificate at least an additional 30 dives must be logged in addition to those submitted for the Third Class Diver and Dive Leader certificates. The dives should show experience of the following: wreck dive, night dive, simulated decompression dive, zero vis dive, drift dive, river dive. These should include a minimum of 10 sea dives, five not less than 20 metres and five not less than 30 metres. | |
| An oral test will be completed to the satisfaction of a committee of five Second Class Certificate holders. Questions may be asked on any of the following topics: | |

As much as possible the questions asked will be of a practical nature. It is not recommended that this test is attempted until the member has had a fair amount of experience in open water diving and organisational experience. All logs will be re-assessed by the Oral Test Committee. All tests will have been carried out to the satisfaction of the Diving Officer and recorded. |
